Identifying and Minimizing Barriers to mHealth Adoption

A recent EDM Forum report points out that, while there is consumer interest, technical and political barriers are limiting the ability for healthcare providers to better engage with patients through mHealth options. Each health system’s adoption experience will be different and will depend on patients served, areas of focus and ehealth strategies. Provider acceptance is another critical factor in engagement; without provider support, effective engagement is unlikely.
